Cryptidverse is an alternate universe from our own where mysterious entities, known primarily as cryptids, roam the cosmos. They have anomalous properties that break our understanding of science and often reality itself. They have an extremely broad diversity in characteristics, ranging anywhere between indistinguishable members of existing animal species to incomprehensible, multi-faceted gods. They've been around since the beginning of time and space, and humans have only within the last few centuries taken widespread attempts to study them and the forces that drive their existence in a centralized manner.
Of course, no field of study is without its controversy nor infighting, and no cryptid is without a certain level of mystery that may never be fully understood.
